Abacus Learning Center opened in Haile VIllage Center in September of 1994. Stephanie Kolb, Program Director, has been with Abacus since 2008. Stephanie holds a BA degree in Education from the University of Florida, and also has a specialization in Special Education Pre-K through 12. Stephanie holds an Advanced Level Director's Credential and a VPK Director endorsement. Erin Howard is the Assistant Director and has a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential as well as a Director Credential. Erin has been with Abacus continually since 2014.

Our teachers have varying backgrounds;  we have teachers who have a college degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education, or a related field, and a few who have a Masters degree. The majority of our staff have been with our center for over 10 years. Most of our staff also have CPR Training as well as First Aid. All staff are carefully screened in accordance with the State of Florida guidelines and must go through a Level II background screening process.

Our mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage critical thinking and emphasize the learning process over rote memorization.   We are proud to be a Gold Seal Quality Care Program Green Apple Accredited Early Education Center.

All of our program offerings are Monday through Friday. However, we offer both part-time and full-time hours. Our part-time program runs 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, and our full-time program runs 6:30 am - 6:00pm. Your child is not required to attend all of those hours, however that is what your tuition is covering. 

We offer part-time VPK (7:30am - 2:30pm) and full-time VPK (6:30am - 6pm) as well as (limited) 9-12pm VPK only spots.

After hours care is offered at $10/hr for our part-time students in the 2's and 3's classes only.
