About Us
History of Abacus Learning Center
Abacus Learning Center opened in Haile VIllage Center in September of 1994. Erin Howard , Program Director, has been with Abacus since 2004. Erin holds a Child's Development Associates (CDA) certification as well as a Level II Director's Credential. Leslie Greene is the Assistant Director and has a Bachelor's as well as a Masters in Education from the University of Florida. Leslie also holds a Level I Director Credential. Leslie has been with Abacus since 2015.
First-Rate teachers
Our teachers have varying backgrounds; we have teachers who have, or are working on, a college degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Most of our staff also have CPR Training as well as First Aid. All staff are carefully screened in accordance with the State of Florida guidelines and must go through a Level II background screening process prior to employment.

Our mission is to embrace the pursuit of excellence both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage critical thinking and emphasize the learning process over rote memorization. We are proud to be a Gold Seal Quality Care Program Green Apple Accredited Early Education Center.
Tuitions and program options
All of our program offerings are Monday through Friday. However, we offer both part-time and full-time hours for ages 2 and under. Our part-time program runs 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, and our full-time program runs 6:30 am - 6:00pm. Your child is not required to attend all of those hours, however that is what your tuition is covering.
We offer full-time wrap around VPK (6:30am - 6pm).
After hours care is offered at $10/hr for our part-time students in the younger classes only.
